Real Crisps Hits the Big-Time
Welsh hand-cooked crisps company Real Crisps, famous for introducing hand-cooked crisps in standard pack sizes, has announced a national distribution agreement with ASDA for it’s small packs and multi-packs.
The deal, which will put Real Crisps into Asda branches throughout the
Asda have stocked the Real Crisps brand in their Welsh stores for about 5 years and have enjoyed a great deal of success, with Real Crisps establishing a cult following in Wales, which the company believes can be expanded UK wide.
John Mudd, sales and marketing director for Real Crisps said “ The Asda listing gives us a unique opportunity to widen customer base nationally. We get lots of fan mail asking where Real Crisps can be bought in various areas of the country, so now we have an easy answer, go to ASDA”
Real Crisps recently received an award from Asda for being the biggest supplier to emerge from the company’s strategy for stocking regional brands.
An Asda spokes-person said “we are always delighted to be associated with small companies who can deliver top quality products at competitive price for our customers”
Real Crisps will be available in a range of flavours and sizes, ranging from 35g bags to multi-packs, retailing from 35 pence. They can be purchased from Tesco’s, Sainsbury’s (Welsh based) and Asda supermarkets nationally.
