Welsh hand-cooked crisps company Real Crisps today signed a three year deal to supply the Millennium Stadium and its hundreds of thousands of yearly visitors with its famous Sea Salt & Black Pepper, roast Ox, Strong Cheese & Onion and Jalapeno Pepper snacks.

The Crumlin based manufacturer becomes the official crisp supplier to Wales’ national stadium and the Welsh Rugby Union in a five-figure deal meaning sports, music fans and sightseers visiting the Cardiff ground will be treated to a wide range of hand-cooked flavours available from each of its 23 bars and 17 food outlets.

”Fans and visitors to the Millennium Stadium are well catered for, with a wide variety of products available at our many food and beverage outlets and we are pleased to further extend our snacks menu with the inclusion of Real Crisps,” said Millennium Stadium chief executive Paul Sergeant.

“Real Crisps are well known in Wales, stocked by many major supermarkets throughout the UK, and are also a sponsor of Neath rugby club.  The product is exclusive, but affordable with the 55gramme bag sold at the Millennium Stadium.”

The Crumlin based Real Crisps was founded in 1997 by John Mudd and Jeff Meredith, with the objective of introducing hand-cooked crisps to a wider consumer audience, particularly through pubs and independent retailers and the new association with the Millennium Stadium comes at a time of expansion for the company, last years sales for Real Crisps was 50 million packs of crisps (worth £17.5 million at R.S.P.) and estimated sales for the Millennium Stadium are in excess of 100,000 packs p.a.. As a Welshman and great fan of Welsh rugby, I am delighted that we have been able to establish Real Crisps as the supplier to the Millennium Stadium,” said Mr Mudd, who operates as the company’s sales and marketing director.

The best crisps in Europe available in the best Stadium in Europe, what a combination.

Real Crisps' mission is to sell the very best quality hand cooked crisps at a fair price.

“The packaging has recently been redesigned to reflect the brand's success in the mainstream crisps market and the product sells well against other well known brands both on supermarket shelves and in pubs and sandwich bars.

“Real Crisps is a brand for all people. Those who love great tasting crisps will love Real Crisps. Real Crisps’ mission is to bring better tasting & better quality hand-cooked crisps to a wider audience and through the sponsorship of the WRU and Millennium Stadium that this mission can be achieved.”
